The rich traditions and the dynamic cultural life of South-East Europe have spawned many talented cultural figures who have gained world-wide fame. But the Western Balkans and Turkey still harbour many as yet unknown cultural treasures. One of these is the young Kosovar guitarist Petrit Ceku. He joins two fellow guitarists to play a programme including Slavic dances by Dvorák and Spanish dances by De Falla.
The Naxos music label calls Petrit 'one of the most important young guitarists of his generation'.
This concert is sponsored by Southeast Europe: People and Culture This is a project initiated by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement. It aims to raise awareness and to show another side of the countries in Southeastern Europe which hope to join the European Union in the future .
