Jos van der Kooy has been the organist of the Westerkerk since 1981, and in 2007 was also appointed as organist of the Council of State’s Gothic Hall in The Hague. Jos teaches organ, improvisation and church music at Leiden University, the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and at the Internationaal Orgelfestival Haarlem. For this edition of the Grachtenfestival, Jos once more welcomes one young winner of the Prinses Christina Concours each day – with the exception of this Sunday, when you can listen to him in a solo organ concert.
