In Young Talent at the Old Wester, several laureates of the Princess Christina Competition play in Amsterdam's iconic Westerkerk. Together with Evan Bogerd, the organist of the Westerkerk, a young talent plays a varied program of solo pieces and pieces played together with organ.
Today the honor goes to 14-year-old Warre Dendievel. This young Belgian trumpeter stems from a musical family with four musical brothers. He is a member of numerous youth orchestras and has already won several first prizes such as in the Vlamo competition, the national Sonatina competition and most recently the Princess Christina Competition.
In March 2018 he had the opportunity to perform as soloist with Verdi's Adagio with Frascati Symphonic and at the end of 2019 he played several times as soloist with chamber orchestra in Mechelen and Edegem. In addition, Warre is also part of I SOLISTI YoungStars, a mentoring program to help exceptional musical talents achieve their artistic ideals.
