Rodrigo  Lluch Sicard

Began his violin studies at the age of 4 with professor Luis Peláez García at the Escuela de
Música de Baja California Sur, where he later graduated as a musical technician. The Honorable Congress of the State of BCS awarded him the State Youth Prize.

He has taken masterclasses with recognized musicians, such as Manfredo Kraemer (Argentina), Luca Giardini (Italy), Benjamin Beilman (USA), Michael Tsalka (Israel), Laurence Dreyfus (England), Alla Aranovskaya (Russia), and Igor Petrushevski (Russia).

Today, Rodrigo is studying his Bachelor’s Degree in violin with Professor Cuauhtémoc Rivera at the Escuela Superior de Música del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (National Institue for Fine Arts). He is an active violinist in various ensembles, like the Baroque ensamble "Kairós", the baroque orchestra "Antiqva Metropoli", and a violin and piano duo with Ricardo Galaviz.

In pursuance of his conducting career, he has taken classes with pH.D. Sebastián Cohen (Argentina). Also, he has conducted the Baja California Sur Symphony Orchestra and "El taller de la memoria", a contemporary chamber orchestra he created alongside his partner, Areli Cortés.

He has participated as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the Escuela Superior de Música, Symphonic Orchestra of Cordoba, "El taller de la memoria" (premiered Arvo Pärt’s Tabula Rasa in Mexico), Philharmonic Orchestra of the Arts (recorded the Four Seasons of Vivaldi) and BCS Symphony Orchestra.

His musical trajectory consists of about 450 presentations between recitals, auditions and concerts. These presentations have taken place in a number of rooms and auditoriums, among which are Auditorium Blas Galindo, Carlos Chávez Room, Nezahualcóyotl Room, Silvestre Revueltas Room, and the National Auditorium.
