Driven by curiosity, these nine musicians search for the Nightlight: it does not yet exist, but its shimmer is promising. Nachtlicht takes up the challenge with a wide range of influences, interests, ideas, skills and characters. New ways of making music are discovered through improvisation, composition and mixing these two with sounds and forms of art from different times, countries and styles. In addition to modern instruments, the ensemble sometimes uses baroque instruments, but also synthesizers and live electronics and draws inspiration from both world music and modern jazz. In addition, Nachtlicht also regularly works with filmmakers, game developers, graphic artists and young composers with different backgrounds.
