On 5 August the Paradiso Quartet takes the stage with two exceptional pieces by famed composers and good friends Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Haydn. Mozart dedicated his six Haydn Quartets to his great friend and teacher Joseph, with among them one that would soon be nicknamed the ‘Dissonance’ Quartet on account of the unusual harmonies in the opening of the first movement. Marking the pinnacle of this concert’s quartet repertoire is the splendid Sonnenaufgang Quartett by Joseph Haydn, which derives its name from the beautiful rising melodic line in the first theme of the first movement.
Hotel Pulitzer welcomes you from 3pm on with a cocktail. After the concert has finished you can chat with the musicians while enjoying five appetizers and a glass of white wine.Pulitzer Tuinconcert - Voor niets gaat de zon op
