Violinist Gerard Spronk about his show: "The lonely time of the lockdown in the Corona period was for Gerard Spronk a direct inspiration for studying this violin solo program. It is full of contrasts: from reflection and stillness to great joy of playing. The varied repertoire gives a unique insight into the versatility of the violin as a solo instrument."
Gerard Spronk is a Dutch-Swiss violinist with an international music career. He can be heard regularly on radio and television and has won awards at the Iordens Viooldagen, the Davina van Wely Vioolconcours and the Prinses Christina Concours.
Gerard began his violin studies with Coosje Wijzenbeek and obtained his Bachelor of Music with Vera Beths at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. He then studied successively in Salzburg, Zurich and Basel and obtained three Master's degrees, each Cum Laude. Since 2013 Gerard forms the Delta Piano Trio together with cellist Irene Enzlin and pianist Vera Kooper.

Pianist Mattias Spee will play a surprising program including his own compositions for piano solo.
In his compositions Mattias regularly gives room for improvisation during the concert.
Besides that he thinks it's important to perform forgotten compositions, he says there are enough 'treasures' to be found in the repertoire which are often forgotten.
Mattias Spee is a Dutch pianist and composer. From his classical background he started expanding and shifted his focus to composition, improvisation and (interdisciplinary) collaborations. Mattias won awards at the Prinses Christina Concours, the Steinway Piano Competition, the SJMN Competition, the Rotterdam Piano Three Days and the Friends Culture Prize, among others. His study instrument is a Grotrian-Steinweg grand piano from 1992, given to him on loan by the National Music Instrument Fund.
