The duo FADOpelos2 consists of singer Iris Feijen and guitarist Tiago Lageira. Iris was introduced to Portuguese fado music at an early age. Even without understanding the language, the music touched her so much that she decided to sing fado herself. In 2017 she came into contact with the Portuguese-born Tiago and wanted to perform the fado together in the Netherlands. Music full of emotion, that's what FADOpelos2 is all about. Where in Portugal fado is sung by fadistas in black dresses, Iris chooses her own style and sings her fado in colorful, eccentric dresses. In addition, FADOpelos2 likes to show that this beautiful music style does not only have to be melancholic, as is often thought.
