In the atmospheric Winter Garden of Hotel Krasnapolsky, Artist in Residence Emmy Storms and her ensemble Camelot are on stage. Camelot is a Celtic ensemble consisting of six musical personalities. Everyone has their own sound, their own musical background. The natural experience of music is paramount, and classical music can also be experienced in this way. This program proves this with classical music as well as Irish and French folk music. Composers such as Bach, Stravinsky and Dvořák seamlessly transition into reels, jigs and slow airs. A number of interesting questions are also answered, for example: How does Bach sound at a Concertina? And what makes the Bodhran such a unique percussion instrument? And are all instruments with keys also played in the same way, or are they very different? The thing all pieces have in common: you cannot sit still. And for anyone who wants to participate: don't forget to bring spoons!
