We will start soon - and more good news

Only a few days left until the Grachtenfestival will get started! From August 7 until 16 2020, over seventy locations throughout Amsterdam will provide a stage to 135 concerts by more than 200 musicians. From today, the red flags will flaunt at a dozen places in the city. Also, our flag got raised because of good news from the cultural funds. What was still uncertain in march will become a reality next week: The Grachtenfestival will be there in 2020. Thanks to support of many, we found a way to organize concerts in a corona proof way for our visitors and musicians. 'This week started kind of intense for the Grachtenfestival team', director Marie-Luce Bree explains. 'We had the deadline of many internal matters, but also for the results of our multi annual funding applications from both the Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (AFK) and Fonds Podiumkunsten (FPK). It is a great compliment to our team that both funds have decided to support us - even with a higher amount than previous year.'
