Tony Overwater is one of the most striking bass players in the Netherlands. He is a versatile musician and composer who profiles himself as a soloist, bandleader, and accompanist in the Netherlands and far beyond. Tony Overwater graduated cum laude at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. He has been awarded the VPRO Boy Edgar prize, the Podium prize, and an Edison. He collaborated with a variety of exceptional musicians including Karin Hammar, Yuri Honing, Pat Metheny, David Murray, Paolo Fresu, Eric Vloeimans, and many others. Music for children always has the special attention of Tony Overwater. He sees it as his mission to bring jazz and quality acoustic music to the attention of children. After the project "Kikker Swingt!" With Max Velthuijs, he developed various music performances together with singer/songwriter Lotte van Dijck.
