During his second year of his bass studies, Tijs Klaassen (1993) wanted to fully focus on traditional jazz. He started playing double bass. Sinds then, he performed twice on North Sea Jazz Festival, he was touring through Tanzania and he worked a.o. with the Dutch Concert Bigband, the Conservatorium Concert Bigband featering Jesse van Ruller, Benjamin Herman, Marco Kegel and Gidon Nunez Vaz. This year, he is completing his Bachelor's Degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
