Ruben Tekelenburg (1990) is a classical pianist from Voorst. From the age of six, Ruben took keyboard lessons, later the interest in the piano was aroused; around the age of twelve the keyboard was finally traded in by the piano.

Ruben gave his first classical concert in 2006 and in that year also won the Gulden Jeugd Keper: an incentive prize for up-and-coming young talent in the municipality.

From 2008 Ruben followed the preparatory course for the Conservatory. At the time, he won prizes at, among others, the JMCO (2nd prize with ensemble) and the Prinses Christina Competition (2nd prize in the regional final and honorable mention in the national semi-final).

At the conservatory, Ruben studied with Sepp Grotenhuis and Frank van de Laar, and he completed both his bachelor's and master's studies at the conservatory with a 9. He studied piano playing, but he also took choral conducting and composition lessons and various choirs Ruben also gives piano lessons: he has developed into a broadly oriented musician with various qualities.
