Marco Danesi

Marco Danesi is an Italian clarinetist based in Amsterdam. As a collaborative artist
Marco largely performs in different chamber music ensembles, that includes Duo,
Trio and Quintet, in the most prestigious venues in Holland.
In 2016 Marco founded, together with the Italian pianist Paolo Gorini, Duo Ebano;
an eclectic and young chamber music ensemble. The Duo was awarded first prize
in many international competitions and was invited to perform in SpiegezaalConcertgebouw Amsterdam and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven and was hosted in
radio programs such as Radio 4 in Vondel CS and Avotros.

had its debut in the New York Chamber Music Festival.

Illzach International Chamber Music Competition.
Marco strives consistently to expand his artistic boundaries by exploring new
music, blurring genre boundaries, going beyond the conventions of classical
performance to connect with audiences and collaborating with living composers.

bring a new concept of sound in the contemporary classical music world.
In December 2017 Marco recorded ‘Neutrinos visiting’, a concerto for clarinet solo
and orchestra by the Italian composer Gerardo Gozzi. The collaboration between
the two artists started in 2015 in a project based on Messiean’s ‘Quartet of the
end of times’ performed in Lausanne (Switzerland) and recorded at the Royal
Academy of music in London.
Teaching plays an important role in Marco's musical activities. He taught for many
years to beginners, intermediate and advanced students in private academies and
wind bands in Italy. During his staying in New York city he took part in a
kindergarten music education program in Harlem.
