Magda Amara

Magda Amara was born in 1984 in Moscow. She graduated with honour from Moscow Gnessin school (class of Mikhail Khokhlov) and Moscow State Conservatory(class of Prof. Sergey Dorensky). In 2009 she continued her post-graduate education in the University of music and performing arts.

Magda Amara is a laureate of 11 International music competitions including members of World Federation of Piano competitions, she won several 1st prizes ("Jeunesses Musicales" in Bucharest, Romania, Open competition in Moscow, Russia, "Ennio Porrino" in Cagliari, Italy and others).

Being a very experienced chamber musician, as a part of Cesar-quintett she won Grand-Prix and 4 special prizes in Gaydamovich open competition, 1st prize and 3 special prizes at Taneyev chamber music competition, 3rd prize and special prize at Johannes Brahms chamber music competition in Austria.

Magda Amara takes part in many international music festivals all over the world, in Russia and abroad. She played solo recitals and concerts with orchestras in Russia, Egypt, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Ukraine, Belarus, Italy, Spain and others. Magda Amara played several concerts with soloists of Vienna Philarmonic Orchestra, one of the best orchestras in the world. As a chamber musician she worked with Franz and Matthias Bartolomey, Steude-quartett, Andreas Ottensamer, Michael Barenboim and Michaela Girardi. As a soloist she played with conductors Stefan Vladar, Andreas Spörri, Joji Hattori, Wolfgang Czeipek, Conrad van Alphen, Ahmed Al-Sayedi, Nikolay Sukach, Vladimir Sirenko and others. In 2011 the National Radio of Austria (Österreich1) made a recording of Magda Amara's recital at the international festival.
