Jacopo Salvatori

Born in Fiesole (Florence, Italy) in 1986, Jacopo Salvatori began playing piano at the age of five. He studied in the Fiesole Music School under M° Tiziano Mealli’s guidance.
In 2005 he received the Bachelor of Music magna cum laude and with special mention, the highest distinction, from the Girolamo Frescobaldi Conservatory in Ferrara. He continued his studies with the pianist Maurizio Baglini, earning his Master’s degree from the Conservatory Claudio Monteverdi in Cremona, with highest honours.

Afterwards he improved his musical education as soloist with the teachers Konstantin Bogino, Boris Petruschansky, Piero Rattalino at the International Piano Academy in Imola.
At the same time he attended several chamber music classes and masterclasses : in 2006 with the teacher Rocco Filippini at the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome, in 2008 at the Accademia musicale Chigiana in Siena and in 2009 at the International School of Chamber Music, Trio di Trieste in Duino’s UWCollege, with the teachers Dario De Rosa, Renato Zanettovich, Maureen Jones , Enrico Bronzi.

He performed as a soloist in Italy (Milan, Florence, Rome, Ischia), Germany (Stuttgart, Berlin) and France (Festival Liszt en Provence) .
He performed many concerts as a chamber musician, playing among them at the Ravenna music Festival (under the artistic direction of M° Riccardo Muti) with members of the Luigi Cherubini Orchestra.

He has been member of the Youth Italian Orchestra, conducted by M° Gabriele Ferro, experiencing an interesting north-european tour, in Germany (Berliner Konzerthaus), Finland, Estonia, Lithuania.
Also interested in contemporary music, he collaborated with Renato Rivolta and Michele Dall’Ongaro and took part in the recording of John Cage’s Concerto for prepared piano and chamber orchestra, for the label Brilliant Classics.
In 2009 Jacopo Salvatori recorded a solo-piano CD for the E-label Onclassical playing some of Debussy’s piano works at the Fazioli Concert Hall in Sacile.
He is also a composer and some of his compositions have been recently performed in Italy and in England.

He lives now in Berlin, Germany, where he enjoys teaching piano and playing concerts and where he refines his musical education with the renown german pianist Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy (Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, École Normale Alfred Cortot Paris).
