Evan Bogerd

Evan Bogerd (1993) prepared his organ study under supervision of Herman van Vliet in Amersfoort. He then studied with Jos van der Kooy at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Bogerd attended several master classes at the organ academy for improvisation in Altenberg (Germany).

In 2016, Bogerd made a big impression with his debut on CD. He presented a wide choice of repertoire on the CD. Works by Max Reger, Sigfrid Karg-Elert, J.S. Bach and van Daan Manneke's work "Ligatura". This CD, recorded on the Müller organ of the St. Bavo in Haarlem, received a lot of praise and a "10" in the leading music magazine "Listen":“His Bach radiates a soothing calm while his Reger (Ein feste Burg and Alle Menschen müssen sterben) shows a sovereign virtuosity. For Manneke you have to open up and have guts. These are all qualities that make Evan Bogerd one of the top talents in his field. ”
In 2019, Bogerd presented a new CD in Hasselt. On the Knol organ are works by J.S. Bach, Piet Post, Karg-Elert and Reubke recorded.

Evan Bogerd is a cantor organist at the Westerkerk in Amsterdam. Bogerd is also organist of the beautiful Holthuis organ in the Ichthuskerk in Hasselt.
