Elisabeth  Boudreault

Known for her rich and vibrant voice, Elisabeth Boudreault distinguishes herself through the delicacy of her interpretations.Four-time winner of the Canadian Music Competition, the 23 year-old soprano has also been awarded 7 prizes from Les Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques in 2016. Elisabeth made her opera debut as Lisa in Bellini’s ?Sonnambula? at the age of 16. Since then, she has performed several roles such as Der Königin der Nacht in Mozart's "Zauberflöte" (Opera NUOVA), Sophie in Massenet’s "Werther", Grande Sacerdotessa in Verdi’s "Aïda" (Opéra du Saguena-Lac-St-Jean), Mlle Silberklang in Mozart’s "Der Schauspieldirektor" (Festival d’Opéra de Québec) and Frasquitta in Bizet’s "Carmen" (Société d’Art Lyrique du Royaume,). Boudreault also held the role of Daughter in James Garner's "East o’ the Sun, West o’ the Moon" for it's North American premiere (Opera McGill). This performance led her to a further collaboration with the british composer, who is currently writing the part of Hero in his new opera ?Much Ado? specifically for her voice. Holder of a scholarship from Le Centre Français de Promotion Lyrique of L’Opéra de Massy, Elisabeth Boudreault studies under the tutelage of soprano Aline Kutan at McGill University.
