AVIYA WYSE (1988) was born in Haifa, Israel and studied at WIZO Haifa Academy of Design and Education. During her studies, she won the Sharett scholarship of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and the Shpilman Institute for Photography Award. Her work is about synergy between life and death. With her analog photo installations, she creates an archive of bodies with which she celebrates the lives of the living. Since graduating in 2013, Wyse has exhibited at the Mediation Biennale (Poznan), the Pink Cube Gallery (Oslo) and at the Maurice Einhardt Neu Gallery (London), among others.
Her work has been published in GIRL ON GIRL, art and photography in the age of the female gaze by Charlotte Jansen and in NUMERO Magazine BERLIN.
In 2018 Vogue Magazine named her in their list of 100 most inspiring artists of the year 2018 and ELEPHANT Magazine named her one of the 'rising Art stars' of 2019. Aviya worked with Lisenka and Niels on Achter Auftritt in 2019 as part of Rewriting Zauberflöte (Operafront).
