Arne Bijnens (14, Houthalen-Helchteren, Belgium) started his trumpet training when he was eight at the Genk Academy of Art, where he has now been selected for the JongTalent class. He takes lessons with Sven Creyns and has already participated in master classes with Steven Devolder and Manu Mellaerts. Arne presented himself at various competitions, both with trumpet quartet (ABBA) and individually. The trumpet quartet managed to qualify for the national final competition for ensembles of Vlamo 3 years in a row.
In 2018, Arne won the Provincial Soloist Competition of Vlamo in Limburg (B) with the highest distinction and achieved second place in the national competition. An absolute highlight was winning first prize at the Princess Christina Competition in Maastricht in 2020, where the jury praised him for his beautiful, round sound. As a member of concert bands Broederkring from Houthalen and Demer & Laak from Lummen, Arne has performed several times as a soloist during concerts in Belgium and Croatia.
Arne doesn't feel better anywhere than on a stage. It is therefore his big dream to become a professional trumpet player.
