Annelies studied saxophone at the Prince Claus Conservatory with Peter Stam, at the Kungliga Musikhögskolan with Christer Johnsson at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Arno Bornkamp. Annelies completed her Bachelor as her Master cum laude.
Nowadays Annelies plays in the Syrène Saxophone Quartet and the Rodion Trio. Annelies also replaces Dutch orchestras and ensembles, such as the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Residentie Orchestra, the Marines Chapel the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Orchestra of the East. She has performed with Asko | Schoenberg and the North Netherlands Orchestra.
In 2017 Annelies started her study historical fagot with Benny Aghassi.
