Jasperina Verheij (Haarlem, 1999) started playing the recorder at a young age and had lessons with Josien van der Tweel. Since then she has won several prizes at competitions such as the Prinses Christina Concours (2016, 2017 and 2018) and the Open Recorder Days Amsterdam. She performed, among other places, at various distinguished music festivals such as the Early Music Festival Utrecht (Fringe), the Grachtenfestival Amsterdam and the Jacob van Eyck Festival. She played solo concertos with several orchestras and received masterclasses from, among others, Erik Bosgraaf and Nina Stern.

She is currently studying with Daniël Brüggen and Reine-Marie Verhagen at the Early Music Department of the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. In 2018 she received her first singing lessons and in the same year she got accepted at the vocal department of the Royal Conservatoire, where she currently studies with Lenie van den Heuvel and Phyllis Ferwerda. Besides studying recorder and classical singing, Jasperina studies Life Science & Technology at the universities of Leiden and Delft.
