Nil Tena Puyo

Born in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, Barcelona (Catalonia), he finished his bachelor degree at the Conservatory of Music of Liceu (Barcelona) in 2014, where he had been given flute lessons by Christian Farroni and Isabel Souto, and he recently got his master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, where he received lessons from Frank Hendrickx and Carlos Bruneel, and where he is currently doing the second course of his master in piccolo. 

He has learned from several Spanish flutists such as Vicens Prats, Antonio Nuez, Fernando Gómez, Álvaro Octavio, Salvador Martínez, Juanjo Hernández, Dolors Serra, Jaume Cortadellas or Andre Cebrian, and he has also done masterclasses with international flutists like Davide Formissano, Gary Schocker, Silvia Careddu, Patrick Gallois, Emmanuel Pahud, Vincent Cortvrint, Henrik Wiese, Marco Zoni, Aldo Baerten, Robert Pot and Peter Verhoyen. 

Last April he won the third prize in the Dutch International Flute Competition 2017, celebrated in Ittervort. 

He has played in a pedagogic project driven by the Orchestra of Cadaqués, the JOCG (Youth Orchestra of Girona), conducted by Michal Nesterowicz and Jaime Martín. He collaborated with the professional orchestra OSV (Symphony Orchestra of Vallès), in Catalonia, and he was invited to play with the OJIPC (Orchestra of Young Players from the Catalan Countries) and some other orchestras with Salvador Brotons as a conducter. He collaborated in a project of the professional orchestra OCG (Chamber Orchestra of Granollers), in Catalonia, which was conducted by Edmon Colomer, and he has also played with the OBC (National Orchestra of Catalonia and Barcelona).
