Ruña 't Hart en Kalle de Bie leerden elkaar op jonge leeftijd kennen toen ze samen in het ensemble de 'Fancy Fiddlers' speelden, onder leiding van Coosje Wijzenbeek. Ze zijn altijd kamermuziek blijven maken in verschillende formaties en zijn op dit moment allebei lid van het Marigold Piano Quartet.
De veelzijdige violiste Ruña ‘t Hart maakt indruk door haar kwaliteiten als soliste en als warm pleitbezorgster van de kamermuziek. Haar muzikale interesse beslaat een breed gebied, uiteenlopend van barok tot hedendaagse muziek. In december 2016 ontving zij in het Concertgebouw de prestigieuze vioolbeurs van het Kersjes Fonds, een belangrijke prijs die ieder jaar wordt uitgereikt aan een jong viooltalent in Nederland. Het Kersjes Fonds roemt in het juryrapport “het gloedvolle, intense spel met een persoonlijk verhaal” van Ruña en noemt haar “een (groei)diamantje dat van binnenuit straalt en muzikaal oplicht.” Ruña begon op tweejarige leeftijd met vioolspelen. Vanaf haar tiende studeerde ze bij de bekende viooldocente Coosje Wijzenbeek en een jaar later werd ze toegelaten tot de School voor Jong Talent van het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag. In 2011 begon Ruña haar studie aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam bij Vera Beths. Ze behaalde haar masterdiploma in september 2018 cum laude. Tijdens haar studie volgde zij tevens lessen van Shunske Sato, zowel op moderne als op barokviool.
Kalle de Bie begon met cello spelen toen hij zes jaar oud was. In 2008 werd Kalle toegelaten tot de de Sweelinck Academie voor Jong Talent bij Jeroen den Herder. Vanaf 2012 vervolgde hij zijn studie op het Conservatorium van Amsterdam bij Jeroen den Herder, Jelena Očić en Dmitri Ferschtman. In 2018 behaalde Kalle zijn Masterdiploma. Daarnaast volgde hij masterclasses bij o.a. Anne Bijlsma, Uzi Wiesel, Itamar Golan, Leonid Gorokhov en Valter Dešpalj. Momenteel volgt Kalle de postgraduate opleiding aan de Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst te Wenen bij de beroemde cellopedagoog Reinhard Latzko.
Kalle is laureaat van meerdere nationale en internationale concoursen waaronder het Prinses Christina Concours (2013), III Elsky Competition te Minsk (2014) en 12th International Competition for young Musicians ‘Ferdo Livadic’ (2015). In oktober 2016 won Kalle de aanmoedigingsprijs en Start-in-Splendorprijs tijdens het Nationaal Cello Concours te Amsterdam.
Kalle heeft van jongs af aan met veel passie kamermuziek gespeeld. Hij heeft vanaf 2006 deel uitgemaakt van verschillende succesvolle ensembles en werd onder andere gecoacht door de vermaarde vioolpedagoog Coosje Wijzenbeek. Daarnaast volgde hij kamermuziek lessen bij het Jeruzalem Kwartet, het Borodin Kwartet en het Emerson Kwartet. Momenteel is hij cellist in het Brackman Trio en het Marigold Piano Quartet. Kalle bespeelt een prachtige Italiaanse cello uit 1870, gebouwd door Gaetano Chiocchi, hem ter beschikking gesteld door het Nationaal Muziek Instrumentenfonds.
Ruña 't Hart and Kalle de Bie got to know each other at a young age when they played together in the ensemble 'Fancy Fiddlers', led by Coosje Wijzenbeek. They have always continued to make chamber music in different formations and are currently both members of the Marigold Piano Quartet.
The versatile violinist Ruña 't Hart impresses with her qualities as a soloist and as a warm advocate of chamber music. Her musical interest covers a wide range, ranging from baroque to contemporary music. In December 2016, she received the prestigious violin scholarship from the Kersjes Fund in the Concertgebouw, an important prize that is awarded every year to a young violin talent in the Netherlands. In the jury report, the Kersjes Fund praises Ruña's "glow, intense play with a personal story" and calls her "a (growth) diamond that radiates from within and lights up musically." Ruña started playing the violin at the age of two. From the age of ten she studied with the well-known violin teacher Coosje Wijzenbeek and a year later she was admitted to the School for Young Talent of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. In 2011 Ruña started her studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Vera Beths. She graduated cum laude in September 2018. During her studies she also took lessons from Shunske Sato, on both modern and baroque violin.
Kalle de Bie started playing the cello when he was six years old. In 2008, Kalle was admitted to the Sweelinck Academy for Young Talent with Jeroen den Herder. From 2012 he continued his studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Jeroen den Herder, Jelena Očić and Dmitri Ferschtman. Kalle obtained his Master's degree in 2018. He also took master classes with Anne Bijlsma, Uzi Wiesel, Itamar Golan, Leonid Gorokhov and Valter Dešpalj, among others. Kalle is currently following a postgraduate course at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna with the famous cell educator Reinhard Latzko.
Kalle is a laureate of several national and international competitions, including the Princess Christina Competition (2013), III Elsky Competition in Minsk (2014) and 12th International Competition for young Musicians 'Ferdo Livadic' (2015). In October 2016, Kalle won the Incentive Prize and Start-in-Splendor Prize at the National Cello Competition in Amsterdam.
Kalle has played chamber music with great passion from an early age. Since 2006 he has been part of various successful ensembles and was coached by, among others, the renowned violin teacher Coosje Wijzenbeek. He also took chamber music lessons with the Jerusalem Quartet, the Borodin Quartet and the Emerson Quartet. He is currently cellist in the Brackman Trio and the Marigold Piano Quartet. Kalle plays a beautiful Italian cello from 1870, built by Gaetano Chiocchi, made available to him by the National Music Instrument Fund.
