Radio Antiqua is a new group of young international musicians specialized in the performance of early music on period instruments.
In its first year of activity Radio Antiqua was the winner of both jury’s and public’s prize at the 2013/2014 Göttingen Historical Music Series (Germany), Young Artists in Residence of the Centre Culturel of Ambronay (France) and Collegio Ghislieri in Pavia (Italy), and has been invited to perform at the Fabulous Fringe Concerts of Utrecht Oude Muziek Festival, Festival Classique (The Netherlands), Innsbrucker Festwocken Der Alten Musick (Austria), Festival d’Ambronay, Pavia Barocca, and other specialized series around Europe.
The ensemble showcases a varied instrumentation featuring violin, recorders, dulcian, baroque bassoon, lute, baroque guitar, theorbo, harpsichord, cello and organ. Ranging from the Seicento to pre-classicism, Radio Antiqua delivers multiform performances engaging their audience with a fresh and dynamic approach to live music-making. Thanks for visiting!
