Ensemble

The Noray Quartet, founded in 2012 is made of four very enthusiastic musicians who found each other in the discovery of unusual String Quartet repertoire. This very special ensemble enjoys developing innovative programming, combined with their passion for more conventional chamber music repertoire. Currently studying at the Prince Claus Conservatoire of Groningen the members of this quartet come from all over Europe.

Jesus Jimenez, violinist, graduated in Spain under the guidance of several teachers such as Raquel Castro, Agustin Leon Ara and Carmen Antequera. Diverse Master classes enriched his musical path with musicians such as José Manuel Álvarez, Keiko Wataya, Elena Mikhailova, Vicente Huerta and later on in Netherlands with Kati Sebestyén, Emmy Verhey, Moshe Hammer, Veselina Manikova and finally Ilona Sie Dhian Ho with who he is currently studying in Groningen.
 
Jesus also enlarged his experience as orchestra player and as soloist as well with many Orchestras in Spain and in Netherlands.

Raquel Campos, violinist, is currently studying under the guidance of Veselina Manikova in Groningen.
 
Coming from Spain as well, she already graduated Bachelor degree in the class of Carmen Antequera in her native country before coming to Netherlands.

She has attended many different improvement courses and Masterclasses with Roberto Valdés, Igor Malinovsky, Vasko Vasilev, Vicent Balaguer, Mosche Hamer, Jesse Levine, Katy Sebestyen, Alexander Detisov, Ilona Sie Dhian Ho and Roland Daugareil. Also enjoying very much Orchestra playing she had opportunities to enriched her experience with conductors such as George Pehlivanian, Manuel Galduf, Sergio Alapont, Fausto Fungaroli, Etienne Siebens, Marc Piollet and Alexander de Bleij among others.

Luca Altdorfer is a Hungarian violist who recently graduated Bachelor degree in Groningen. She started playing the violin in the age of 5 and won diverse violin competitions in the Norther region of Hungary. At the age of 14 she got accepted in Budapest in the Bela Bartok Conservatoire, where she studied violin and later viola.

She was founder member of the Lux Aeterna Chamber Orchestra of Budapest, played in the Sebastian Strings of Antwerpen, and followed chamber music Master classes in the Brussel Koniklijke Conservatoire.

Anne-Elise Thouvenin, cellist, comes from France where she achieved her studies in the city of Montpellier combined with Chamber Orchestra studies under the artistic direction of the violinist Jean Lenert. She had the opportunities to work with many great artists such as François Baduel, Diana Ligeti, Lluis Claret, Gary Hoffman, Roland Pidoux, Jeroen den Herder, David Strange, Schmuel Magen, Xénia Jankovic, Anner Bylsma, Maria Belooussova and Roland Daugareil among others.

After she received the "Klaas Dijkstra Award" (Foundation Award K. Dijkstra for international students) at the summer academy of "Peter de Grote Festival" in August 2009 in Groningen, she finally graduated Cum Laude from Bachelor Degree.
 
She just graduated from Master program at the Prince Claus Conservatoire of Groningen, in the class of Jan-Ype Nota and Michel Strauss.
