Jazz clarinetist Martí Mitjavila (2000) is an ucoming talent from Barcelona. He grew up with jazz through records that his father took home for him. Currently, he studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. In 2019, Martí won the prestigious Prinses Christina Concours, which gave him a performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival. He also was a finalist at the (due to Corona) unfinished Leiden Jazz Awards.

His music trio is complemented by Simon Osuna on double bass and Ilia Rayskin on drums. Together they make traditional jazz trio music inspired by the likes of Sonny Rollins and Lee Konitz, but add their own modern twist. The trio is looking for opportunities to express themselves within both jazz standards and their own work. Their sound is formed by improvisation and "instant composing": both are indispensable for the purpose of their music.
