Pianist and composer Jetse de Jong invites the Flemish singer Isla van Hout to perform a try-out concert in duo with the music of Isla's upcoming debut album. With a strong gospel and soul background, the pair plays music that is strongly inspired by artists such as Donny Hathaway, Aretha Franklin, PJ Morton and above all the experiences of Isla during her study trip to the heart of soul: Philadelphia (USA).
Jetse de Jong released his debut album 'Intercities' at the end of 2019, performing in the Netherlands, Finland and Estonia, among others. In addition to his own groups, he has accompanied a wide variety of artists such as Sven Ratzke, Laura Fygi and Rotterdam's own Eddy Nielsen. He met Isla when they both studied at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
