In this quartet, Gijs Idema and Anna Serierse are looking for new ways to let vocals and guitar flow together. Seen from a more sound-focused angle, they strive for a unique blend between their two instruments, supported by the solid foundation of Cas Jiskoot on the double bass and Tim Hennekes on drums. This quartet is described as a unity, with a strong sense of freedom, melody, rhythm and form. In January 2020 they recorded their debut CD in the beautiful Fattoria Musica Studio in Osnabruck (DE). This album contains their own compositions, written when Anna and Gijs both studied abroad. You will hear the peace and serenity of Trondheim, but also the bustle and chaos of New York.
This quartet has been playing together for 5 years, and has played several major stages and festivals, such as the Bimhuis, Paradox, Jazzfest and the Grachtenfestival. They also won Keep an Eye The Records 2019. This allows them to present their debut CD in November 2020.
