Founded in 2009, Ensemble Odyssee is a collective of young generation baroque musicians that put their efforts in discovering new paths in early music interpretation. The group gives concerts in different settings around Anna Stegmann (recorder) and Andrea Friggi (harpsichord) and connects a strong interest in historical performance practice as well as seeking for new repertoire, without excluding improvisation and experimentation.
Next to projects based Amsterdam, the ensemble is regularly guest in concert-series in Germany (Erbsdrostenhof Münster, Rüschhauskonzertreihe Nienberge), The Netherlands (Oude Muziek Utrecht, Reincken Festival Deventer, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Les gouts reunis Amstelkerk Amsterdam), Italy and Austria (Barocksaal Ossiach). Concerts and recordings have been broadcasted on Dutch Radio4 and Concerzender.
In summer 2011 Ensemble Odyssee recorded its debut CD with music from 17th and 18th century Naples which will be released in summer 2012.
