Formed as part of their regular studies at Codarts Rotterdam in 2016, the Altéide Quintet quickly set their sights beyond their academic requirements and towards performing at regular concerts and competitions. Altéide Quintet’s members all play in various youth orchestras or academies and are already gaining experience in renowned professional orchestras. Having previously played together in different contexts, the five friends fuse their individual talents and different musical traditions together with a particularly energetic spirit and fluid musical communication to form the unique Altéide character.
The Altéide wind quintet is a new group of 5 young professional musicians based in Rotterdam. Formed during our studies at Codarts Conservatorium Rotterdam, our versatile group brings a fresh wind in the chamber music scene. Combining musicians who work and perform in different formations (Rotterdam Philharmonic, Philharmonie Zuidnederland, Residentie Orkest, Noord Nederlands Orkest, Wiener Symphonics, Pynarello, jongNBE), this quintet re-groups some of the best wind players in the Netherlands.
