Again the Portuguese Synagogue forms the backdrop for a beautiful concert during the Grachtenfestival. This year the Rusanovsky Trio, together with pianist Ksenia Fedoruk, will play a program full of classical music interspersed with well-known Jewish and Russian folk songs. It promises a colorful, lively, melancholic and emotional program with various ensemble formations and instruments such as: violin, viola, piano and guitar.
Trio Rusanovsky consists of Lonja Rusanovsky and his two children Julia and Arthur Rusanovsky. Arthur is the youngest and has recently obtained his Master of Music in Berlin. He regularly gives concerts as a soloist and has a duo with pianist Ksenia Fedoruk. Julia graduated as a violinist from the Arnhem Conservatory (ARTEZ) and is the first violinist of the Belvedere string quartet and Het Strijkkwartet. Lonja was born in Kiev, Ukraine. He has worked with the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, among others. In addition to viola, he also plays other instruments such as violin, guitar and piano.
Ksenia Fedoruk is a German pianist of Russian descent. She started playing the piano at the age of four. After studying at the Academic Music College at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, she obtained a Masters in Piano performance at the University of the Arts in Berlin in 2018.
