Do you hear the roaring of the lion, a tremendous howl?
Would he think himself king, with his golden yellow manes?
Three singers and two pianists tell the story of Anne and Sophie who are cleaning up the attic and discover the eccentric Professor Animaux. Oh well, maybe telling the story isn’t the proper description – let’s say Ensemble Animoso drags you to a place where everything is possible: where kindhearted donkeys can talk, where petrified dinosaurs come to life en turtles dance like ballerinas as if there was no tomorrow. But above all to the world of Professor Animaux, a mythological ‘allesdier’ (all-animal) that treats Anne and Sophie to a poetic introduction of the miracles in the animal kingdom.
Singing, playing, joking, brightly lilting and with twenty rattling fingers on the keys… Join them in this fantasy story and disappear in the music of Saint-Saëns in the carnival, the beastly ball! You’ll be ever so close to music if you surrender to this adventure of Anne and Sophie.
After the show 'Carnaval!' children can meet the cast and have their pictures taken with Anne, Sophie, professor Animaux, and the pianists. And who dares to transform into an elephant, a lion, or any other animal with props from the show?
