Julius Lorscheider, born in 1999 in Hagen, Germany, took his first music lessons with his father. After playing piano and organ lessons, he came into contact with the harpsichord at the age of twelve. First, he took lessons with Gregor Hollman and then in Amsterdam with Bob van Asperen. He has also participated in various masterclasses, among others with Pierre Hantaï, Skip Sempé, Marieke Spaans, and Elisabeth Joyé. Since 2017 he has been studying harpsichord at the Conservatory in Amsterdam with Menno van Delft. As a soloist or chamber musician, he was a guest at the Philharmonie in Köln and at festivals such as the Barock festival Bad Arolsen, Musikfestspiele Sanssouci, and the Stiepeler Claviertage.
Today Julius plays a program with, among others, pieces by Froberger, Sweelinck, Frescobaldi, and Buxtehude.
