It is impossible not to fall in love with the so-called HEMbrugterrein, a former military area in a wooded environment. It has an exciting and green character where you can find no less than 120 listed buildings, that together form a unique collection of architectural styles.
The site was an ammunition factory for more than a century and after it was shut down, Mother Nature fought her way back in. Some of the buildings have been renovated recently and now offer spectacular concert venues. On Saturday 16 August, three successful ensembles will perform here in the afternoon. In between concerts, the audience can explore the site. The Nederlands Saxofoon Octet will perform a lovely adaptation of Simeon ten Holt's Canto Ostinato. As an exceptional case, they have been granted permission for a saxophone version of half an hour.
Then you can go by foot to the Full House Kwintet& Friends with its ten brass players, percussion and piano. The main element of their programme is based on Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin. And last but not least, the Ensemble Judique will present a combination of Latin American and European music. All concerts will be performed three times, so the visitors won't miss a note.
Opening hour of the venue is 12am.
Start of the concert: 1am, 2am, and 3 am.
All concerts will be performed three times.
Your ticket is valid the entire afternoon for all three concerts
