Guy Salamon graduated as a drummer from both the conservatory in his native city of Tel Aviv and the conservatory in Amsterdam. As a band leader and composer, he has been making waves with the Guy Salamon Group in recent years. For example, the group won the prestigious Keep An Eye The Records competition in 2018 and have since played at international jazz events such as InJazz Festival (Rotterdam), Fira B! (Mallorca) and European 12 points Festival (Amsterdam). In the 8-piece band play winners from 2014 and 2016 Princess Christina Concours: Teis Semey (guitar) and Ian Cleaver (trumpet). Their debut album 'Unfollow the Leader' was released at Bimhuis in December 2019 was incredibly received by jazz critics. The spectacular tour that would follow could make its appearance due to corona, but luckily you have the chance to see these enormous talents from the Dutch jazz scene in an exclusive concert in the Olympic Stadium!
