A varied show by the finalists of the Grachtenfestival Conservatory Competition. The winner of the GCC, the Kāna Percussion Trio, together with cellist Laura de Armas, percussionist Daniel Bolba, who received an honorary mention from the jury, and the violinists of Grimm Duette, present a wonderful show.
Kāna Trio will perform pieces by Bach and Schubert on no less than 3 marimbas. Cellist Laura de Armas will play a movement from the cello sonata by Rachmaninov and "Le Grand Tango" by Piazzolla accompanied on piano by Laure Cholé. Daniel Bolba will bring two more modern works by Kevin Volans and Nick Woud. He also brings violinist Inês Díez. Finally, the violinists of Grimm Duette play music by Bartók, Vale, Dvorák and Trojan, among others; mostly their own arrangements.
