A poetic and musical walk through the city center of Amsterdam in the area where poet Gerbrand Bredero 400 years ago used to thread. The walk has three stops and on each stop you can enjoy music and the art of poetry. First stop: jazz with singer Annelie Koning and her trio. Bredero’s poems and matching folk songs are the foundation of her compositions blending with sound improvisations.
After a short walk the upcoming young poet from Amsterdam, Gershwin Bonevacia, will recite his own work full of humour, truths and questions, alternated with improvisations of jazz saxophonist Mo van der Does. Finally the spoken word performer Babs Gons, who will be challenged by classic cellist Leonard Besseling.
Venues? That is a secret for now, but we promise that you will be closer by the bar…
Het startpunt van de wandeling is het festivalcentrum, het Compagnietheater (Kloveniersburgwal 50). We vragen je om een kwartier voor vertrektijd aanwezig te zijn.
