Schulhoff Trio
Flute, viola & double bass in a classical programme
Flute, viola, and double bass: a rarely heard combination with a surprisingly wide sonic palette. The Schulhoff Trio presents a programme featuring music by Bach, Haydn, Bartók, and, of course, Schulhoff. Well-known repertoire is alternated with less frequently performed works, culminating in Schulhoff’s Concertino for this instrumentation.
The three musicians of the Schulhoff Trio met during their studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and have since developed into a close-knit ensemble. Their shared interest in Schulhoff’s work forms an important foundation. As soloists, they have won prizes at competitions and festivals. Although they now live in different countries, they regularly come together for concerts.
