Music Chapels Series: Daniel Brandon & Sonya Shin
Violin and cello in virtuosic interplay
Cellist Daniel Brandon and violinist Sonya Shin present a varied program in which Maurice Ravel’s remarkable Sonata for Violin and Cello forms the musical centerpiece. In the Weesperzijdetuin, they will also perform a selection from the unparalleled solo works of Johann Sebastian Bach, music that continues to move audiences through its timeless beauty.
Daniel is currently studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with cellist Ella van Poucke. It was there that he met the Canadian violinist Sonya Shin, with whom he has since formed a longstanding duo. Both musicians share a deep passion for the chamber music repertoire. For this concert, they exchange the intimacy of the living room for the unique atmosphere of this beautiful open-air venue.
This concert is part of the Muziekkapellen Estafette. In collaboration with Stichting Muziekkapellen.
