Soprano Madeline Saputra and pianist Aarón Ormaza Vera present music by Saariaho, Wolff, and Schönberg – repertoire that demands courage, precision, and imagination. Madeline graduated cum laude from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and is known for her boundary-pushing projects that merge singing with performance art. Pianist Aarón Ormaza Vera, originally from Ecuador, is a prizewinner of the YPF European Piano Competition and the IX Stasys Vainiūnas Competition. He also studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where the duo first met. An afternoon of rarely performed repertoire bursting with color, intensity, and surprising sonic worlds.
