Junior Grachtenfestival: Sea Symphony (5+)
Sail along with two pirates and a mermaid
With Sea Symphony, the ensemble The Wandering Musicians presents a musical performance about two pirates, a mermaid, and a storm at sea. Without spoken text, flute, violin, and bassoon tell the story: from finding a treasure map to a shipwreck and an unexpected encounter on a deserted island. The music moves between festive dances, quiet moments, and cinematic scenes, specially created for audiences of all ages.
The Wandering Musicians consists of flutist Nadja Zhelnina, violinist Ania Szafraniec, and bassoonist Pedro Gonçalves. The three musicians studied at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and regularly perform with orchestras such as Philharmonie Zuid Nederland, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, and the Jeugd Orkest Nederland. They have appeared in venues including the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall, and the KKL in Lucerne.
