Junior Grachtenfestival: Open Jamsessie (2+)

Grab a djembe, samba instrument, or shaker and join this open percussion jam for children and parents. Everyone is welcome! Together with percussionists Lucas Jansen and Daniel Bolba, rhythms are built up step by step using short patterns, improvisation, and call-and-response playing. You are invited to join in, but simply listening or dropping in halfway is also fine. No musical experience is needed—only curiosity!

Daniel Bolba has worked with ensembles such as Asko|Schönberg and Ensemble Modern Academy and has performed at festivals including November Music, TROMP, and North Sea Jazz. Lucas Jansen develops interactive music projects in which rhythm, movement, and ensemble playing take centre stage. For the Grachtenfestival, they are creating an accessible musical concert in which audience and musicians shape the music together.
