Jong Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw

Young talents breathe new life into big band music

The jazzcats of JONG JOC love nothing more than playing together. Each year, this vibrant big band is newly formed, bringing together young musicians aged 12 to 18 who radiate talent and enthusiasm. Over an intensive Easter weekend bootcamp, they forge a close bond and proudly carry the name JONG JOC for a full year.

Under the direction of pianist and arranger Chris Muller, who opens this edition with his own big band, the group explores a wide range of styles: from the groovy seventies soul of Stevie Wonder to the contemporary brass sound of Gallowstreet. Meet this youthful counterpart of the renowned Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw (JOC) and discover the jazz talent of tomorrow.
