Guilherme Sousa & Filipe Sousa

Portuguese saxophonist Guilherme Sousa studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and has already made a mark by winning numerous prizes at international competitions. Together with his brother, clarinetist Filipe Sousa—an experienced chamber musician with a rich orchestral background—they form an energetic and expressive duo.

Today, they present a program featuring music by contemporary American composers, including Gregory Wanamaker’s rhythmic Duo Sonata and the intimate Staying the Night by David Biedenbender. Expect tight ensemble playing from two highly musical brothers.
