Emma Roijackers & Laura Rickard

Violinists Emma Roijackers and Laura Rickard have been a close duo for many years and are active members of the HearAndNow Collective, which focuses on innovative composers from both past and present. Following previous editions centered on Bartók and Schoenberg, they now bridge the gap to today’s trailblazing voices during the Grachtenfestival.

Their program bursts with rhythmic energy, dance influences, and unexpected colors, featuring duo works by Grażyna Bacewicz, Ernest Moeran, Judith Weir, and John Harbison. A tribute to the richness and vitality of the modern violin duo.
