Emma & Katja Naegele

Sisters Katja and Emma Naegele perform a programme for violin and cello featuring music by, among others, Bach, Glière, and Händel/Halvorssen. The works showcase different facets of the duo repertoire: from the clear polyphony of Bach to the lyrical Romanticism of Glière and the virtuosic Passacaglia by Händel/Halvorssen.

Both musicians have won multiple prizes at national and international competitions and have appeared as soloists with various orchestras in the Netherlands and abroad. Katja has twice won the Dutch Violin Competition and received the Bunschoten Young Talent Prize at the Grachtenfestival. Emma has won first prizes at, among others, the Britten Cello Competition and the Concours International Flame, and has performed with orchestras across Europe and the United States.
