Duo Leora: Gracias a la Vida
Talented voice and guitar duo
In Gracias a la Vida, Duo Leora brings the richness of Spanish repertoire to life through a wealth of emotions and colors, instantly transporting listeners to the atmosphere of a southern holiday. Through their own arrangements of works by Joaquín Rodrigo, Enrique Granados, and Manuel de Falla, the duo celebrates love in all its facets: intimate, mischievously playful, dreamily sweet, and passionately expressive. The performance takes place in the home of the Goede Doelen Lotteries on Amsterdam’s Zuidas, one of the city’s most sustainable and circular buildings.
Duo Leora
Sometimes musicians find each other at exactly the right moment. Soprano Fleur Strijbos and guitarist Emma Wills crossed paths for years in the hallways of the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, but it was only during a festival organized by the radio station Klara that their musical connection truly emerged. Duo Leora was born. The name is derived from Hebrew and Greek and means “light.”
