Deniz Ispir & Anto Bayram Karamenderes

Enjoy violin and piano at the Turkish Cultural Institute

The program by violinist Deniz Ispir and pianist Anto Bayram Karamenderes opens with Brahms’s First Sonata for Violin and Piano. Warm melodies and a close dialogue between the two instruments set the tone. The concert continues with Beethoven’s monumental “Kreutzer” Sonata, a work in which virtuosity and drama take center stage. From its serene opening Adagio to its tempestuous finale, Beethoven pushes both performers to their limits. Together, these two sonatas illustrate the evolution of the violin-and-piano repertoire from lyrical chamber music to large-scale concert works.

Violinist Deniz Ispir studied in Moscow and Amsterdam and has performed in renowned venues such as the Concertgebouw, the Musikverein, and the Kölner Philharmonie. He has also appeared as a guest musician with ensembles including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra.

Pianist Anto Bayram Karamenderes has won prizes at international competitions in Varna, Plovdiv, and Sofia, and has appeared as a soloist with several symphony orchestras in Turkey and Bulgaria.
