Cocobolo

Modern-vintage with surf, soul en hiphop

Due to its continued success, a free concert on the roof of NEMO returns again this year!

This year, Cocobolo will fill the city with a vibrant mix of ’90s hip-hop, ’60s soul, and a modern-vintage sound. Inspired by artists such as Menahan Street Band, Orions Belte, and Yussef Dayes, the trio has created its own musical diorama on the album Consider It Done. During their performance on NEMO’s green rooftop, audiences can expect a danceable selection of tracks from this outstanding band. In doing so, they prove that instrumental music can be every bit as infectious as a chart-topping pop hit.

Cocobolo writes its songs as if they were short films. For the band, music is a way to visualize and shape a story. Their sound blends old-school funk, psychedelic rock, and surf-inspired guitars, all wrapped in a distinctive retro aesthetic.

The rooftop opens at 5:30 PM. Zedyé will perform for Cocobolo at 6:00 PM, blending alternative R&B, hip-hop, and jazz into a unique sound that is as introspective as it is danceable. Cocobolo follows at 8:00 PM. Read more here.
